Pray For Little Jared
Last fall I was a member of a online social group and came across a post by a mother asking people to pray for her little boy Jared. The name caught my attention because I have a son also named Jared and have a huge soft spot in my heart for kids. She shared that Jared, at age 9, had been found to have a brain tumor. I won't go into all of the details, but this fella was just the bravest little guy. I wrote Lora and got permission to contact Jared and for the next several months, as long as I was able to remain active on that site, I contacted him almost everyday. He couldn't hear to well but loved pictures so I and many others began sending him pictures of animals and all other types of things that would interest him. Many members of the site were good to visit him on a regular basis, trying to encourage him.Since leaving that site I have remained in contact with Ed and Lora by email. We have started a group on FB that just prays for Jared and his family. Today I received a email from Ed, which I will share. I cannot even begin to imagine what Ed and Lora are dealing with and feeling right now. The Drs have said there is nothing more than can do for Jared, it is in God''s hands. My heart breaks for them, but at the same time I know we serve a God who is just and caring and will do what is best for Jared and his family. I know God can heal him completely and I also know there are times when God says that isn't my plan. Please join me in praying for them. Ed, Jared's father, wrote:"donald we went to Cincinnati.childrens today and they found the tumor growing its in last stages we so need prayer for jared please pray they said hes in gods hands which we knew but ask god for jareds life with us,its so so hard please pray"God Bless

She started peeing on her own and her kidneys look great. Amanda and Justin want to Thank everyone for the prayers and she asks you to continue to keep them in your thought and prayers!! January 19, 2009 Mahayla was born 1/18/09, she weighs 1 pound 11 ounces, 11 inches long. Amanda and Mahayla are fine. Mahayla is in Children's Hospital. She has to weigh 5 pounds before she will be able to come home. Amanda and Justin found out that she is now breathing 80% on her own. That's excellent!! She's a tough little girl. They have a long road ahead of them though. Amanda wants to thank you for all the prayers; Little Mahayla really needs them right now. Amanda will be with her tomorrow and Justin is keeping her company. Amanda and Justin got to touch her before she left for Children's and Hayla grabbed their finger. The tip of their finger fits perfectly in the palm of her hand. Please just keep them in your thought and prayers.

Pray For Jared
Friends, once again I am bringing lil' Jared Sturtevant, the 9 year old with brain tumors. I recieved a comment from his mother a few moments ago. I am including it with the request to pray again for Jared and this family. I told the mother I cannot even come close to imagining what they are going through or feeling and none of us can unless we have been there. The beautiful things is, we serve a God who can feel exactly what they are feeling, He is touched with the FEELINGS of our infirmaties...
"...its been a tough time i cry and cry til i just stop - it so hurts to see my boy suffering - but hes so strong he yet never has cried nor questioned anything - he wipes my tears away and is sooo precious please pray and yet find others who will for my boy ,our financial needs, our strength god bless..."
Let's pray with this family...
Thank you, God Bless!

MVPs Pay a Visit to TEAM Ministry

Melinda and I were excited to have the opportunity to meet another MVP Team Member and her family. Reba Smith along with her husband Scooter and sons Nathan and Ashton stopped by on Wednesday December 17 for a brief visit. They were on their way to Branson, Missouri for a family vacation.
We are so thankful they took a little time to include us in their family time. It was a wonderful opportunity to make a personal acquaintance with a MVP who has prayed a lot of prayers with and for us.
God Bless this family.

God Bless this family.

MVPs Pay a Visit to TEAM Ministry
TEAM Ministry was blessed by a visit this week from MVP Team Member, Kathy Davis and her husband Don. Kathy and Don live in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Joining Kathy and Don, for the weekend, was Debbie Bennett, Kathy's sister, who is also an MVP Team Member. Debbie was a surprise visit for TEAM Ministry, we didn't know she was coming and what a wonderful surprise.
We enjoyed a time together of fellowship. We talked, we laughed and we cried. We were so blessed by the visit and look forward to another time of getting together. It is wonderful to be around people who love the Lord and are committed to His work.
God Bless these families!

T.E.A.M. Ministry MVPs
Jesus stood in the synagogue and quoted from the Book of Isaiah 61:1. He spoke of His Purpose and Mission. He also spoke of the Purpose and Mission of His Church as it would carry out His work in His absence. These were those words: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19)
We, as the last Days Church, must feel the urgency to experience what Jesus spoke of and to see others have this scripture fulfilled in their lives. Life deals cruelly with men and women. Sin is a terrible taskmaster! How many do we know who need to hear the Gospel because they are poor in spirit? How many do we know who have experienced broken hearts from experiences in life? Can you think of someone, maybe even yourself, who has been held captive by chains of the past, chains of sin, and chains of addiction? Many are blinded by the cares of life. Many are blinded by injuries of the past. Life’s blows bruise us, stopping the flow of blood that is so necessary for healing to the body and to the spirit.
I believe Jesus was saying that we can experience Apostolic Ministry in our lives. We can preach the Gospel to those who are hungry to hear it. We can pray for those with broken hearts and see them healed. We can preach of the delivering power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and see captives set free. We can pray with those who are spiritually blinded and witness God opening their eyes. We can know the liberating power of the Blood of Jesus as His blood heals those who are bruised. This can be preached and can happen right now.
Much Valued Prayers are committed to seeing this come to pass today. They are committed to taking your needs to God in intercessory prayer. They are committed to praying the prayer of faith, fully expecting God to hear and to answer your prayer. James said it this way, “…pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 Make your request known and we will join you in prayer.
God Bless!
